NP. It looks really good for an older yellow car, and the milage is low enough.

Co! Where I live, you can easily get a terminator Cobra for under 10k

Mileage?

Even for the mileage, I think. It's in a gray area where it's not super low mileage, so I think of it as competing against 75k-85k cars more than >50k cars. Around $13-13.5k and it's right at market. Lots of people asking $14.5-15+ for cars like this, but I don't get the feeling that they're actually transacting for that.

I wouldn't buy it for that price.

Why not?

the reason thats so cheap is because its not a terminator, they were from 03-04 only, and anytime I ever see one under 16,000 dollars, its usually a high mile piece of shit with a salvage title.

A SY mach 1 can't be very common, and SY is the better of the two yellows.

I would compare it to an S197, performance-wise, and those can be had for a few grand less than this asking price. Not total left-field crack pipe, but not a steal either.

Sigh... almost bought a black one in Oct of '04, Ford was giving a big discount (3k maybe) on all Mustangs except the Cobras. Deal was all done and I backed out, I figured I just couldn't justify a garage queen. Bought my '04 Forester XT instead, quick but practical, wife could use it to get to work if the weather turned to crap. Still have the Forester with only 32000 miles, wife has never driven it because it's a manual and I've never used it as a daily driver. Damn I should have got that black Mach 1!!

fair dealer price. not nice, not crack, but fair. for $15k, you can probably get something nicer. but, if you're a Mustang guy and you want a Mach 1, it might be worth the premium.

The name sake also have some sentimental value to me cause my dad had 2 1969 Mach 1's

exactly my point. if you want a Mach 1 Mustang, then presuming an inspection doesn't turn up any signs of the car being abused, the price is fair. like my girl had to have a Mercedes R230. no other make or model was acceptable. it had to be that one. and in a case like that, paying a bit more to get a lower mileage and clean one is probably worth it even if you can get better value elsewhere. but when I bought my 996, I had a list of around 5 cars I wanted, was patient, shopped and test drove cars for a year before finding the one.
